Hazel was very excited at this weeks blog topic on bird watching as we have been observing the birds at home and along our walks this spring.
She was naturally curious and wanted to know more about the kinds of birds we were seeing and if they were boys or girls. We started a field guide to document the birds and other critters we are seeing around our home.
Hi Hazel, this is awesome! How does it feel to be a field guide writer? What is your favorite part about making your field guide? I love drawing, as well as being able to identify the birds I'm seeing.

ReplyDeleteIt's incredible to see all the hard work you're putting into this guide! Do you prefer writing about the birds, or getting to draw them? What kinds of things have you been observing the birds doing? I love to watch them at my house. I have heard hummingbirds in my neighborhood, but haven't seen one yet. Have you?
