Hello friends,
Today I have a story for you called Not a Box. Some of you might know it from reading it in class, or you might recognize that it's like the story Not a Stick some of us read in class.
What might you be inspired to use a box for?
If you don't have a box, maybe you can use a sheet or blanket...it's "not a sheet!"
Could your sheet or blanket become a parachute? A caterpillar? A wheelbarrow or trailer to move things? A fort or house? Parents, if you need more inspiration, want to know more about how this supports children's learning, or want to know how to support your child with this activity, click here to read more from our friends at Tinkergarten.
What other "not" things can you use your imagination with at home?
Comment on this post to let us know what you imagined your not a box, sheet, or other thing to be!
Your friend,
Genny
From Coco: "It's not a box, it's a spaceship!"
ReplyDeleteCoco, where are you flying in your spaceship? You'll have to tell Warren about your spaceship when you see him next. We once made a spaceship out of a box too. We used paints to design the outside and cut a circular hole for looking out at the stars!
DeleteIsaac says "race car"
ReplyDeleteIsaac, did you make a race car out of a box? I wonder if you found a way to create a steering wheel? Once we used a paper plate for a steering wheel at our house. Did you draw any designs on your race car? My son Warren LOVES turning boxes into all sorts of wonderful things like this too!
